TRUTH IN THE BLEEDING | A Shosanna Dreyfus/Fredrick Zoller Mix

NOTES: Holy Guacamole, this is the angstiest mix I've made in forever. It could also be read as a "Fred & Shosanna are raging hipsters in love" mix, seriously. Still, these were the songs that said them to me, whilst on my stupidly long commute, so here they are.
It can, for the most part, be read chronologically - from their first meeting to their very last - and, taking a cue from QT, there is naturally a little bit of "Romeo & Juliet" overtones. Throw in a nice dab of AU-ness in-between (as if they didn't kiss at least once/Marcel angst/bittersweet moments/etc), and you have a mix for two of the most intriguing characters I've seen in a long time. Enjoy!

Did you know that the drummer for Die Ärzte plays an usher in IB?

Die Ärzte are my favourite band, although I had no idea Bela B. was in the film (mainly because he's not a very good actor and I try to avoid his IMDb page). Now my roommate has a large bruise from being smacked in excitement, the poor thing.

Although, arguably his breakthrough role came in the early eighties' most poignant and important film, Richy Guitar - which also stars his bandmate Farin Urlaub and so much hairspray, no wonder we have an ozone problem.

I love the '80s so much. As ridiculous as all of that hair is, at least New Wave hair looked great on blondes. You could make a double-feature out of Richy Guitar and Liquid Sky:
I have the soundtrack on vinyl, as it only cost a few dollars. Shortly after buying it from a used bookstore, I learned that it's a highly desired collector's item.
