So I picked up this book called Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer, right?

And it's a young adult book about a vampire and a human falling in love, right?

And I've really, really, really enjoyed it. Like, I'm re-reading it, even though I just finished it.

And I'd really like to have a look around fandom, maybe write some fic, get into some nice meta discussions.

So why are there no older fans, huh?

I'm not saying the fandom that exists is bad, per se, it's just not my cup of tea. Anyone know of a place where I can squee talk about said books without fear of Evanescence song fic?

In the meantime, I can't stop laughing at this picture:

lolololololol

LOL RAINES IS HIDING & JAROD IS JAUNTY

Hahahhaha, holy crap, I just came back from one of my other friends' journals, where she is going absolutely nutso over this book. I liked it okay actually - I had a few problems with it though, so I can't really thoroughly explain why I enjoyed it... *shrug*

Hmm, there are a couple LJ communities I guess. I poked around some message boards too but didn't stick around.

I can't work out why I like it so much, either - there's just something that got it's hooks into me and I'm like, whoa.

I had a gander around all the LJ comms and stuff, but it's all just...not interesting to me. POINT ME TO PEOPLE, NOW!!! please, thank you. ;)

Eh, yeah, I'm not so sure. [livejournal.com profile] indilime just posted this huge huge post that garnered quite a lot of comments, all about Twilight. it's here. And you should go read New Moon!

Also, what's the story behind your icon?

From: [identity profile] piecesofalice.livejournal.com

I just ran over and commented on her post. Thanks for pointing me there, matey.

The story behind my icon? To be honest, I was making it, was hotted-out by Zach's hotness, and stuck for something to write on it. Then "U Can't Touch This" came on my playlist, and HELLO, an icon was born.

Icon twins!

why did you guys leave on saturday night? we were just at the bar and you disappeared. innes and d's stuff (ie. wallets, phones, fan) were just left on the tables with no-one around.

We thought you'd gone! I came back from the bar and only Ash, Liz and Melina were there!

I'm sorry. :(

THAT PICTURE WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH MORE AWESOME IF MISS PARKER WAS IN IT.

I'm just saying.

From: [identity profile] piecesofalice.livejournal.com

AGREED. And Jarod had keys in his hand coz he, like, LOCKED RAINES OUTSIDE.

Now upload the Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs song, woman! Lyle needs to be uploaded!

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THE ICON OF THIS POST? Not this comment, this post.

I have a Lyle and Parker icon, but I'm wondering if I need a Lyle on his own icon.

From: [identity profile] piecesofalice.livejournal.com

It's my girlfriend, Cecile de France, and she's LOLing at Jackie Chan and Steve Coogan faux-kissing. <33333333

I THINK you need a Lyle icon. With him looking smarmy, or when he gives the thumbs up after getting his thumb back!

Jaunty Jarod made my DAY. He's way too chipper with Raines hiding back there and staring at him evilly.

From: [identity profile] piecesofalice.livejournal.com

Isn't he just JAUNTY and SLY?

I love your icon. She has the best icons, so beautiful!

From: [identity profile] anamin.livejournal.com

hee. . .Jarod is pretending that Raines isn't really there. . .

I am so starting that book right now because a few of my friends have been absolutely blowing nuts over it. IT BETTER BE GOOD, YOUNG LADY!
