Flisty, let me tell you my feelings about SPEC. I love it. So much so, I was moved to (properly) vid for the first time in about two years. It helps that the show is freakin' gorgeous to begin with - so staring at it or Toda Erika and Kase Ryo's faces for two weeks wasn't a great sufferance - but this really was a labour of love and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

NOTES: I heard this song by Australian popstress Washington while on a road trip with my sister in rural Queensland, and knew immediately it was meant to be a SPEC vid. I included it on the fanmix I posted recently, so some of you will be familiar with it - I did cut out the kazoo break because, damn. I tried, but I couldn't get it to work with the show or the flow of the vid, so forgive me for that one bit of laziness. Like I mentioned above, it is mega spoilery, and there's a bit of 'shippiness in the middle (I restrained myself). Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Thank you! It's just the perfect song - it's probably the most literal vid I've ever made, but if I didn't know better/was a raging fannish tinhat, I'd say the bloody song was written about SPEC.

(Although, I'm in the frame of mind where EVERY SONG IS ABOUT SPEC. Let's be honest.)

I like Toda Erika, but I've only seen her in Death Note (I'm still trying to catch up on j-drama's). I really want to start watching the Liar Game, which she is in. My favorite j-actress so far is Fukuda Saki. Every time I am going to watch a J-drama, she is always in it, lol..

Fukuda Saki! She's my new favourite - she's fantastic in SPEC. Not much is said about her performance, but it's quietly excellent.

I have Liar Game lined up next. I'm hoping it lives up to the hype!

I think what you say about there being an added layer of metaphor was why I ended up so happy with the final result. I probably could have vidded this show forever.
