1. IRIS Franchise Keeps Chugging Along at Dramabeans.com. Looks like we're going to be Teeth-less. Which, y'know. Make sense, what with him doing GI Joe 2: The Rise of Hipster JGL and other factors.
2. Is this the time to start campaigning for IRIS 2: The North Koreans Are Better Than You? I mean, NK Lite probably had never seen a Sea-Doo in North Korea, and now he's all rescuing people and shit!

Oh, and as of last night, my head started writing Teeth/Fierce. I think, if I can actually sit down to do it (yay for 3 day weekend!), that I will have it all pre-return to Korea.
Currently at the point where Fierce and Teeth discover the bomb construction room and Boring comes in. Noooooo! But NK is around being awesome, as well as the idiots back at NSS (who, despite being idiots, are sweet and I love them).

ALSO, I JUST HAD A REVELATION.
I know now where I've seen Byung-hun Lee! IFC (before they began running cancelled comedy series and commercials) would run A Bittersweet Life (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0456912/), which, if you've not seen, is a most excellent fucking film. You're probably more familiar with his acting than I am, and let me tell you, he was so heartbreaking and entirely badass in it as Sun-woo.
So, for all this time, I've had a total boner for this guy and it takes you and IRIS to help me piece it together!
And he was the only appealing thing about those G.I. Joe trailers. Becca went to see it when it came out and she fell totally in love with him, too.

Ahhhh A Bittersweet Life. I love it and him in it. He's legitimately a good actor, he's just so damn LOL in IRIS and in real life. I want to invite him over for tea and cookies and just make him laugh.
He's excellent in The Good, The Bad, The Weird (starring also the bloke who's in Athena) and his first role, JSA. I do love him, and you can have a girl boner for him. Especially as The Bad, he's pretty fuckin' fine in it.

I don't think A Bittersweet Life is out on dvd here, nor is The Good, The Bad, The Weird available yet. Basically, if it's Asian cinema of any stripe that's not martial arts or Takashi Miike, then it's not readily viewable here.
He seems like he'd make for some good company, doesn't he? Then he could help us rescue Chiaki and get her better film roles (IT ALL COMES BACK TO CHIAKI, YOU KNOW).
Shit, I have boners for random '80s television actors, so yeah, I'll gladly have one for him.

I can't believe that they intend to make an Athena 2. NOTHING EVEN HAPPENS IN ATHENA 1. HOW CAN THEY POSSIBLY HAVE MORE MATERIAL FOR A SECOND SERIES?
And you already know that I yearn for IRIS 2 to be entirely about the North Koreans. Not that it'll happen, but one can hope. Or they can at least throw me a freaking bone in the Chul Young/Sun Hwa department and I'll be happy. I'm not too worried about LBH not being in it (he didn't exactly woo me. I didn't hate him, but I didn't love him, either, hence my interest being in the North Koreans).

We just finished ep 11 and something happened, at least in the Son Hyuk department. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. It had so much potential and...yeah. And I reckon we might have a chance of IRIS 2 being about the North Koreans - at the very least, Sun Hwa. I kind of want a Thelma and Louise-esque show with her and Seung Hee. I could get behind that.
NORTH KOREANS. I CAN'T EVEN. I feel a picspam and fic coming on.
