Hello all! I have been computer-less and working like a bitch - thus my absence - which, of course, always leads me to entertain myself in other ways. Today's Useless Obsession of Pieces' is a KDrama called (The) City Hall.

My DVD of this show has the worst English subtitles known to man, so, amongst the OTP bantering and bickering, there seems to be a vaguely out-of-left-field, drunken gay subplot that is so epic, it's epicly epic. There's a stack of context you probably need, but who really cares.

I can't even explain it - it's like a mix between The West Wing and a high-school drama, to quote lizbee. Here's all you need to know (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/City_Hall), besides that the OTP is OTP-riffic and there are cliches for miles. I love it, as you can imagine.

The sudden fall into each others arms is vaguely frames-deleted then speeded-up shutterbug wartime epic kind of film style—after all the (Mexican?!) troupe music and soft focus lighting and suggestively pulsing balloons is GOLD.

I think I shall have to watch this, I didn't fully appreciate how cracky it was from the cover.
