Heike is best known for her role in Love Actually outside Germany (I sound like Wikipedia). She started as a VJ on VIVA, their music channel that's not MTV, and sort of went on to be one of those models-who-act, which is a shame, because she's actually very good. Nachts im Park is one of her "bigger" roles (which also has Heino Ferch in it), but she's doing a lot of in-Germany work which is hard to get access to in English. She also sung a song or two with Bela B from die ärzte:
Yeah, it's pretty bad. Wooo long-ass post about Heike! Heino's great, he does a lot of character stuff. Der Baader Meinhof Komplex is fairly recent and out on DVD in the US, and The Miracle of Berlin is soppy but good.
Nadja Uhl *swoon* She's gorgeous and also in Der Baader Meinhof Komplex (which she's fantastic in) and Vier Minuten. She does a bit of "pretty face, not much else" roles (I LOVE HER).
Matthias is a "hey it's that guy!" and you can pretty much watch anything you can get your hands on that he's in, he's great. He was in Valkyrie (yes, the Tom Cruise one) and Der Rote Baron, with Til Schweiger et al. I've only just really started to be interested in him, but he is great.
And Jan Josef! The papa figure. Also in Der Baader Meinhof Komplex (with Alexandra Maria Lara, phew), Suddenly Gina (with my girlfriend Julia Jentsch), and a bazillion other things. He's on Tatort, which is like, the German equivalent of Law & Order in the US and The Bill in England - every actor's been on it.
Aaaannnnddd the German Embassy in Australia will be paying me for spruking their country soon (kidding). I just love them all SO MUCH.
