Yeah. We're having issues with that. Hmph. And yeah - it is generally the reaction Spam gets, which boggles my mind too. I've talked to lots of people whose parents, happily married and going strong, have that kind of age difference. I don't understand the complete writing off of it. I mean I understand having an issue with it *currently* because no matter how mature Jennette looks or how Sam acts - she is a freshman in high school. But in general... one of my best friends recently had an affair with a married man, older than her father, the summer following our graduation from high school. That's more than 30 years. And I have other age stories... mostly of the hapy variety.
I'm not sure what danwarp's planning with Sam and Spencer, it could be a strong healthy friendship, a secret romance, or some friends with benefits for all I know. But Sam would be into older guys, I feel. At least she'd be more prone to it. And Spencer is just *never* especially conventional. In any case, though - Sam and Spencer or Jennette and Jerry have great chemistry and they make up some of the best scenes in the series. At least for anything that only has two characters in it, really. If I were Dan I'd take that and run with it.
Well, even if it is under th cover of anon - it's lots of people, so maybe some of those people will see that they are not alone and that is is okay to be into that. ... Y'know, I know the mod, and I have some ideas I might want to slip her. I wonder if some of these people know that they're actually repeating Demi/Selena prompts. Why should someone fill a prompt twice? And if they're not repeating - it sure seems like it. (I've had at least two of mine filled. I was ECSTATIC.)
(Jerry/Jennette? YEAH. One way or another, its' not brother-sister and it's not just co-worker. They've got a kind of thing. Or at least Jennette's got it bad. At the very least. Definitely.)
