Life, S02E06, "Did You Feel That?". In eight caps or less.

Over and Over and Over.

Lionesses Aren't Lambs.

Coming On/In Strong.

With A Little Help From My Friends.

There's A Pencil In Your Hand, Ted.

You're Just A Cop, After all.

Awwwwkward. Wait. What?

* I have been AWOL, so I haven't been around to weigh in on the past couple of weeks, but I agree with the consensus - this episode was Our Show. It had everything that has been...not missing, but sort of pushed to the side - and I loved it. Really enjoyed it, best ep of the season so far.

* The Dani/Charlie banter? I just couldn't even begin to emote how it made me feel. Like a warm, wonderful partnerzzzz bath - the orange throwing! The radio fight! The iPod swapping! Ugh. Perfect. Sarah and Damian are so obviously finding a groove with these characters - and each other - and it's such a joy to watch.

* Despite [livejournal.com profile] suburbannoir's denial that the last three minutes of the episode existed, it did, and Dani and Tidwell pashed and y'know what? I didn't mind it. I'm aware of what it's going to cause and how it's going to end, but it was sweet - as much as Tidwell can be sweet - and confusing and odd and just like first weird kisses are supposed to be. They do have chemistry, although I think Sarah and Donal could have chemistry with a plastic plant (even with their overly styled hairdos).

* Ted, Olivia and the Pencil? I enjoyed it, but I want to wack Olivia and her baby voice. When she started talking normally, I really clicked with her a bit more - I don't want Joan, per se, but I want Olivia to be a strong female character and...it's just not really happening. I did love Ted getting some love, and that's really the most important part.

* Garret better come back as Roman. I'm just sayin', while we're on the topic. "We weren't, Pieces." Shush, you.

IN CONCLUSION:

<3 PARTNERZZZ
<3 TED
<3 OMG HE'S A COP NOW
<3 PARTNERRRRZZZZZZ

You're last cap is not showing up for me. Not at all. How sad.

I'm with [livejournal.com profile] suburbannoir, I don't think the last 3 minutes showed up on my copy. It kind of just skipped over to the part where Charlie was being hot and the Maserati gave one last goodbye whine. Poor Maserati.

Oh, man the partnership was on fire tonight and I love how comfortable they are with each other now and Dani hijacking his tunes and car? Forever awesome! And then Dani holding on to the iPod chord? Even more awesome!

May I pull your attention towards my reply to her comment? (http://piecesofalice.livejournal.com/145832.html?thread=2249896#t2249896)

I am mourning the Maserati, however, and [livejournal.com profile] suburbannoir is both a) crying from my comment to her comment and b) complaining I didn't cap the poor car. What? I had kisses to cap!

The holding on to the iPod cord gets me everytime. Because it she could have dropped it, but didn't, y'know?

AUGHHHH!

MY EYES, IT BURNSES!

The Maserati death throes is more important than that thing that burninated my eyes!!! In my verse it didn't happen. Not at all. It stays in the things that does not exist!

I actually thought they'd hold hands for a second there but no, it was Dani still holding on to the cord! And then from a distance it looked like she was the only one keeping Charlie from straying falling.

I liked the part where Ted was all giving Olivia The Eyes drunkenly. But your cap is second-best in the Ted Has a Pencil in His Hand (and Love on His Mind) event.

I felt somewhere in between on the Dani/Tidwell bit. I'd be more enthusiastic if Dani got a character development-type storyline like "Powerless" again.

Re: AUGHHHH!

Ouh, I am sorry! But you two have to get used to the Dani/Tidwell, it may be around for a while!!

I don't know if they held hands it would have run true - it made when she held onto Tidwell (sorry) at the end a lot more believable. Because she still doesn't understand Charlie, but I think she thinks she gets Tidwell - even if it's not true.

Drunk!Ted and Olivia was up there with some of my favourite moments. It was so appropriate, y'know, being drunk with a pencil in your hand.

(I did find I spent a good chunk of time staring at poor Christina Hendricks' breasts. Her bra is magnificent.)

I think, at the end of the day, I want Dani and Charlie to get married and have one red haired kid because they're both fucked up and sad and no-one else wants them. But that's a bit of an MO for me, it seems. So the Tidwell thing is just a means to an end, like it'll all unravel and we'll get more Partnerz out of it.

Re: AUGHHHH!

When you mean 'around for a while' you mean only for a split second and never mentioned again, right? (My world is shiny and filled with denial ice cream, it makes you light and free. I partake of this freely).

Yeah, I couldn't believe it either and then I blinked and realized, no, it was only my eyes playing tricks. I do love the image of Dani holding on to the cord and seemingly keeping Charlie in his place. Or how 'bout that Zen vs. Rock, fight, huh?

I'm not a fan of the Tidwell thing, but it kind of makes sense to me. And it was kind of sweet, actually. I can't wait 'til Charlie finds out.

(I agree with Bring Roman Back.)

I am not a fan of what happened, but there's no denying it happened. I think Charlie and Davis should make out, and then I'll call evenses.

Dude, I kind of liked Dani/Tidwell too! Chemistry and awkwardness and Tidwell being sort of vulnerable right before. I mean, apparently I'm on board with Dani making out with anybody, but I'm intrigued. SO.

I LOVE YOU for appreciating Dani/Tidwell. You have NO IDEA how much I love you for that. My f-list is very, very down on the Tidster and the kiss that they claim didn't happen. But I felt it made perfect sense, and I've been feeling the chemistry between them from the beginning, and like you, I'm seeing it as a step towards Reese/Crews. Plus, I can't help but it see it in a subtexty light because of the red hair. WHAT? IT'S TRUE! Her subconscious wants to do Charlie, but she doesn't want to mess up what they have, so she goes for the only other red haired dude that she knows. Although... I'm sure I will get many things thrown at me for saying this, but I wouldn't mind seeing Tidwell and Dani falling madly in love and having one screwed up relationship, and yet the love is always there, and Dani gets pregnant and freaks out, and then Tidwell proposes and she freaks out even more, but Charlie convinces her that it's okay to be happy, that she CAN be a mother and a wife, that it's okay to let herself be loved and love in return, and Dani and Tidwell have this lovely wedding and Reese keeps glancing at Crews because knowing that he's there keeps her from getting scared and running away, and Reese and Tidwell end up having the most adorable family in existence and they are so, so awesome together and Charlie is the crazy, lovable uncle. I... I feel like I'm betraying my Crews/Reese roots by thinking this way, but I could see it happening.

From: [identity profile] citosol.livejournal.com

Oh, the last 3 minuted did exist!*__*

I love tidwell/dani as much as I love Creese.
But for now Creese cannot exist, so WELCOME Tidwell/Reese!!! (Redheaded, freckled and blue eyes...DO I HAVE TO SAY MORE?!?!!??!)

From: [identity profile] theonlytwin.livejournal.com

also intrigued.

Man, i don't even have an opinion. tidwell... interests me. i'm not sure i like long term tidwell/reese, cause i don't think she's ready. i swear this isn't the crews/reese shipper in me talking, i honestly don't think she can handle love and commitment (insert thrush joke here), which i reckon vunerable!tidwell would be looking for (l&c, not thrush). *puts on turban* i can see an awkward morning after in the books. i can see crews getting that look, that look of "hey, hang on..." when he does his detectoring. i can see reese getting defensive. beyond that, i have no idea where they are going with it.
