So we have started watching Eureka.

And I freakin' love it. Partners! Zany humour! A Tony Stark, complete with a douchebeard who can be 'shipped with everyone and everything! Random faux-Australian misusing local colloquialisms! Henry!

(You may all say "I told you so!" now.)

I still can't work out who I 'ship, though - I kind of 'ship everyone. Jack/The Entire Town? So, here, have a drabble where he's getting some love from a ~lady~, in which you can decide who said lady is. Choose Your Own Eureka Adventure, if you will.

12. Intelligent Design

There's something intelligent in the design. Because since Callister Raynes, he can't help but think that there's something engineered, something so unnaturally perfect about her that she has to be AI.


First the banter, then the bicker, then the carriage came before the horse and anything he could have prepared for moving to Eureka flew out the window with the same force of some fiddly thingymabob Henry concocted in his garage.


Legs for days, lethal hands and long fingers, dark hair and eyes and lines that he'd bet - and he wasn't a betting man, per se - could probably, actually, never be engineered in a Global lab, because they were so damn perfect.


She sighs and he smiles, and the belief that "oh, that could never happen!" sort of just goes...poof. Gone.


Because, yes, it was happening - and it was just fine and dandy with him.

Yeah, Jo and Dani are meant to be. In some alternate universe (on Eureka! That happens all the time! Like the Farnsworth Box!), they were meant to be kickass les-be-friends.

I'm glad you like Henry. maddeinin disappointed me so when she reveals she didn't like him.

I really need to get around to finding good Eureka icons.

But yeah, Henry in season 2. That's tough. I think the great thing is how it changes, and ultimately strengthens, his friendship with Carter.

Seriously, if Eureka fandom was all up in the Carter and Henry friendship, I'd probably never leave my computer. As it stands: Stark/Carter. Thanks, fandom! I don't want to read ANY of that!

I noticed a lot of Carter/Stark. I feel his douchebeard lends him to be shipped with anyone and anything, however. It's the power. I kind of don't want to see him having a mansandwich good time with Jack. Henry would get jealous

Speaking of handsomeness, the reruns of s2 Deadwood on our dish provider introduced Wolcott last night.

Surprises me every single time, I tell you. There is just something so put together, yet so not right about that boy.

I hope that your Internet cooperates to provide said picspam and then a picspam casting C. Ferg and Matthew Morrison as adorable, goofy, handsome brothers.

YAY Eureka is so awesome! It's really too bad that they've been screwed over by the network lately. The writers are having to do product integration advertising, and it's really obvious and heavy handed, unfortunately. They try to joke it off, but it reaaaally doesn't work.

That, and don't get too attached to Stark. >:(

I don't know, I just went off him in s2 and he hasn't won me back yet. I think it's mostly that he's too gluey - I can't get a handle on his character at all, he just seems to be whatever the plot needs him to be this week.

My other pet peeves include sunshine and puppies.

You are right, he is freakin' glueish. I still haven't worked out why he can swan into Global without, y'know, working there and shit.

We are still at a start-of-season-two-eye-narrowing impasse, so I may have to hate sunshine and puppies with you for a bit (HE BETTER REDEEM)
